Right now, I'm enjoying a cozy time by myself in my favorite chair. Creedence is having quiet play time in his room, and Million is napping. It's 46 degrees out and rainy, supposed to get down to freezing tonight, so I'm just enjoying the warmth of our little house.
I've got a candle burning, one of the last of my stockpile from when we originally set up our shop as a candle-making shop.
The name we gave to this scent was "Walk Through Narnia." And I still think it's perfectly appropriate.
A very piney smell with hints of cinnamon.
I've had these scraps of fabric out for a few days, just sitting on top of my piano. I adore the fabric, but I don't have much of it...It was already pre-cut into squares, as it's leftover from when I made our king-sized quilt before Million came home. I'm trying to figure out what to make with it. Any ideas? The squares are about 6" x 6", and I've got four of them. Scour the internet and tell me what to make....because I just need projects right now. Seriously. Do it.
I just spent about 20 minutes and earned Million another book for school.
We've got a bit of a weekend ahead of us with a wedding reception, some construction work on our basement, the farmers market, and hosting a celebration for Creedence's dedication at church. (Yes, we're a bit behind.) But I'm sure the moments will be beautiful.
In pleasant news, Michael plans to finish up our bed this coming week... I'll finally be able to post pictures of his handiwork (and get a beast of a dresser out of our room)! You all will love it, I'm positively certain.
Also: News. We are now Costco members. (What?!) We aren't really bulk shoppers. Except for at our health food co-op... But, as always, I'm trying to find ways to keep our health status high and our budget low. Sam's Club didn't work for us a few years ago (even though the membership was free) because my body does NOT react well to MSG, and at the time we were just beginning our elimination of high fructose corn syrup. Sam's is not, well.... they're not known for the healthiness of their bulk options. But we got a basically free membership to Costco (sensing a theme?), and I've heard them praised for their organic produce. So we'll see how this works out.
